  3. 02/27/96   ver. 3.01       Took a day off for my birthday and fixed one
  4.                            annoying bug where the # of messages processed
  5.                            wasn't showing up in DEFRAG.LOG.  Fixed.  The
  6.                            code was there; dunno why it skipped over it.

  8. 12/25/95   ver. 3.00       The sky is falling!!  No, it's a new DEFRAG
  9.                            release!  Two YEARS in the making, it's now 22%
  10.                            faster, supports WWIV 4.24 and message bases
  11.                            containing more than 255 messages, AND hasn't
  12.                            changed one bit since!
  13.                            Oh, except that it beeps and pauses longer
  14.                            when unregistered... but there are no limitations
  15.                            on the number of subs it'll handle, so if you
  16.                            aren't registered, be honest and pay for the
  17.                            program if you plan to use it.

  20.                            Fully supports WWIV v4.23, including
  21.                             multiple instances/multiple lines
  22.                            Command-line commands changed:
  23.                             /X and /C are GONE
  24.                             /Dxx accepts one sub TO DEFRAGment
  25.                             /Dxx-yy accepts a RANGE of subs to DEFRAGment
  26.                            Reduced code size/overhead due to above
  27.                            Executable is compressed & encrypted, and does
  28.                             a self-check each time it's run to detect
  29.                             errors, viruses, etc.
  30.                            DEFRAG runs slightly faster when run on 1 instance

  34. 05/08/93   ver. 2.10       TOTALLY BUG-FREE!!  FINALLY.
  35.                            Added three new command-line options:
  36.                              /S[+|-] -- turns sound on/off (works on
  37.                                         unregistered copies as well)
  38.                              /Xnn ----- excludes sub #nn from being
  39.                                         DEFRAGmented - repetitive, same as /C.
  40.                              /W[+|-] -- tells DEFRAG to strip WWIV color codes
  41.                                         () from sub names.  ONLY use if you
  42.                                         do have heart codes in there, other-
  43.                                         wise it just slows things down some
  44.                            Fixed logic oversight where if a sub was defragged
  45.                            on its own (/Cnn) and there were no messages in it
  46.                            (even if EMAIL.DAT defragging was on), DEFRAG would
  47.                            bomb and not show a report.  DEFRAG will now show
  48.                            the report if EMAIL.DAT defragging is on, and a
  49.                            quasi-error message if only one empty sub is speci-
  50.                            fied to be defragmented.
  51.                            Fixed several bugs in report screen
  52.                            Optimized some code (not a lot) to run a little
  53.                            faster (my main concern with this release is
  54.                            squashing all bugs -- I'll deal with raw speed at a
  55.                            later date perhaps).  NO error-checking code was
  56.                            removed (in fact, some was added), as I firmly
  57.                            believe it should stay to prevent minor disasters
  58.                            Help screens look better, print out faster (no
  59.                            big deal - just a quirk of mine)
  60.                            Other minor logic errors and cosmetic changes and
  61.                            improvements.

  70.                            1 meg bug WAS fixed in 2.00!!!  Either I just used
  71.                            the wrong compiling options, or there's a serious
  72.                            bug in the compiler itself!!!  AAARRGGHH!!!
